hanover – Sounds dull but it’s not. hanover has everything you could possibly desire. And the cold, Northern German slang is the cherry on top #lovely
Small city guide: Your new base is in Hainholz, Schulenburger Landstraße 114 – HAINBASE basically. You live close to the Nordstadt, next to cafés, bars, restaurants – everything that makes ta student’s heart beat faster. Supermarkets are just around the corner, the nearest Straßenbahn stop „Hainhölzer Markt“ is right outside the door. The Leibniz University hanover campus is just a short bike ride away and in case you need to get to the EXPO-Plaza just hop on the Straßenbahn line 6 and drive straight through.
Fancy doing fitness? No problem, a fitness studio is located across the street and the university’s sports campus isn’t far. hanover is green! And by green we mean not only our mayor (member of an evironmentally passionate political party), but also the Eilenriede or the Herrenhäuser gardens, that are right next door in case you need a break. Also perfect for a picnic in summer – hanoverians-approved.
